Experience healing, inspiration & spirit
Step into one of the oldest Spiritualist churches and experience a service unlike any other – a place where healing begins, wisdom is shared, and the veil between the worlds is lifted.
What Makes Us Different
When you walk through the doors of Memorial Spiritualist Church, you are entering a place filled with over 75 years of dedication to healing and spirit communication. As one of the oldest Spiritualist churches, our sanctuary has witnessed countless moments of connection, love, and transformation.
Our Sunday Worship service is a blend of tradition and spiritual exploration, offering an experience that nourishes both the heart and the soul. While our structure may feel familiar, two things set us apart:before worship, our trained healers offer hands-on healing while soft, meditative music plays. This is a time to center yourself, release stress, and open to the gentle power of spirit healing.
-
Healing Before Service:
For 30 minutes before worship, our trained healers offer hands-on healing while soft, meditative music plays. This is a time to center yourself, release stress, and open to the gentle power of spirit healing. -
Spirit Communication:
In the final portion of our service, the medium serving that day delivers messages from loved ones in Spirit—reminders that we are never truly alone. These evidential messages bring comfort, guidance, and proof of life’s eternal nature.

Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving by 10:45 AM so you have time to settle in before the service begins at 11:00 AM. If you’d like to receive a hands-on healing, come between 10:30–11:00 AM when our healers are available in the sanctuary.
What is Spiritual Healing?
Spiritual Healing is a gentle, non-invasive practice where trained healers channel healing energy through their hands with the intention of restoring balance to your body, mind, and spirit. It’s not a substitute for medical care—but many find it deeply relaxing and emotionally restorative.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re just curious or looking for a spiritual home, you’ll be warmly received—no pressure, no prerequisites.
What should I expect during the service?
The service includes healing, a guided meditation, an inspirational talk, uplifting hymns, and a short demonstration of mediumship where the serving medium brings through messages from Spirit. The atmosphere is reverent but relaxed, and there’s a lot of heart in the room.
Will I receive a spirit message?
The medium will give as many messages as time allows, but not everyone will receive one during the service. Whether or not you receive a personal message, the experience is often meaningful for everyone present.
What if I’m not sure what I believe—or I follow a different religion?
That’s completely okay. Spiritualism is a welcoming and inclusive path that honors all sincere spiritual beliefs. You don’t need to leave your religion at the door—many who attend our services also practice other faiths. What matters is an open heart and a willingness to explore the continuity of life and the presence of Spirit.
Is there a dress code?
Come as you are. Most people wear casual or business-casual clothing, but what matters most is that you feel comfortable.
Do you livestream your services?
Not yet—but we hope to soon! We’re currently exploring options for livestreaming so that more people can join us from afar. In the meantime, we’d love for you to come experience the energy of the service in person if you’re able.
