Morris Pratt Study Group
The Morris Pratt Study Group at Memorial Spiritualist Church in Norfolk, VA gives students real support. Instead of working through the lessons alone at your kitchen table, you can study with others, ask questions, and stay on track. As a result, the material often feels more practical and easier to apply.
You must still purchase and enroll in the Morris Pratt self-study program directly through Morris Pratt. However, the study group does not replace the course. Rather, it adds community, structure, and guidance as you move through the material.
Who This Group Is For
The Morris Pratt Study Group is for students who want more than a book and an exam. You may be just starting your lessons. Or you may already be serving as a healer, medium, or worker in a Spiritualist church. In either case, you are welcome.
Newer students gain confidence by hearing how others apply the material. Meanwhile, more experienced students deepen their understanding by discussing real situations in church work and ministry. In this way, everyone in the room benefits from the mix of experience levels.
What We Study Together
The group focuses on three key areas of Morris Pratt training:
- Mediumship
- Spiritual healing
- Pastoral ministry and church service
During each session, we review important ideas from the assigned lessons. In addition, we talk about how they show up in actual services, circles, and church life. For example, we may look at how a specific principle plays out during a healing service or message circle. You can bring questions from your reading or from your own experience serving Spirit.
How The Study Group Works
Each meeting includes prayer, review, open discussion, and time for practical application. Overall, the tone stays grounded, honest, and respectful.
You are encouraged to think for yourself, share when you feel comfortable, and listen to others. Over time, this steady rhythm helps you integrate what you are learning. The goal is not to rush you. Instead, the goal is to help you grow into a stronger, more informed Spiritualist worker.
