DESCRIPTION:Spirit Message Circles at MSC:  Three mediums. Three circles. Three readings for $20. \nMessage circles Norfolk at Memorial Spiritualist Church give you a focused evening of evidential Spirit communication in a small group setting. Instead of one large crowd\, you sit in three smaller groups and meet with three different mediums in a single night. \nWe begin with a brief welcome\, a short explanation of how message circles work\, and a simple prayer to set the intention. Then we divide the group into three circles in different areas of the church. Each circle sits with one trained medium for a set period of time. When that round ends\, the groups rotate so that by the end of the evening you have sat with all three mediums. \nIn each circle\, the medium blends with Spirit and gives short\, specific messages for people in that group. You stay seated with your circle while the mediums work. You listen\, receive\, and decide for yourself what feels accurate and meaningful. Each person can expect three readings during the evening. \nMany people come to our message circles Norfolk events for comfort\, guidance\, or simple reassurance that life continues after physical death. Others are just curious to see evidential mediumship in a calm and respectful setting. DESCRIPTION:Our Billet Message Service at Memorial Spiritualist Church in Norfolk\, VA is a traditional Spiritualist way to receive personal\, evidential messages from Spirit. Teri Del Aurora\, a working Spiritualist medium and president of our church\, leads this service. \nWhat Is A Billet Message Service\nIn a billet service\, you write a name\, question\, or concern on a small piece of paper called a “billet.” Then you fold or seal it in an envelope. The medium does not need to read your words. Instead\, they work with the energy of the writer and with the spirit world to deliver a message that fits your situation. \nThis practice reflects a core Spiritualist belief that life and personality continue after physical death. Through mediumship\, we often receive comfort\, guidance\, and proof of that ongoing life. \nHow The Service Works\nAt the start of the Billet Message Service\, you receive a small slip of paper or billet. First\, you quietly write a name or concern. Then you fold or seal it. After that\, the billets are collected and given to the medium. \nTeri holds each billet in turn and blends with Spirit. As she works\, she gives the message she receives\, offering evidence and insight for the person who wrote that billet. The goal is not entertainment. Instead\, the goal is to bring through meaningful\, helpful information that supports healing and understanding. \nWhy People Attend\nPeople come to the Billet Message Service for many reasons. DESCRIPTION:Our Spirit Filled Supper Club at Memorial Spiritualist Church is a monthly evening of good food\, real conversation\, and Spirit messages. It is relaxed\, friendly\, and rooted in our Spiritualist tradition. \nWhat To Expect\nWe start with dinner. You arrive\, find a seat\, and settle in for a home cooked meal. There is always a main entrée\, dessert options\, and plenty of tea\, both sweet and unsweet. During this first hour\, we simply eat together\, talk\, and enjoy each other’s company. \nAt about 7:30\, we shift into a “Topic and Discussion” time. Someone from our community leads with a short theme or question. Then the group joins in. People share experiences\, ask questions\, and learn from one another. The goal is honest\, thoughtful conversation\, not debate. \nBefore the evening ends\, a medium offers messages from Spirit for those who are present. This brings a spiritual focus to the night and connects our time together with the heart of Spiritualism. \nCost And How To RSVP\nThe Spirit Filled Supper Club costs $10.00 per person. Your contribution helps cover the cost of the meal and supports the work of the church. \nBecause we cook a real dinner\, it is important for us to know how many people to feed. DESCRIPTION:Our Mindful Meditation Circle at Memorial Spiritualist Church in Norfolk\, VA supports the inner work that real mediumship and spiritual growth depend on. Technique is not enough. You also need mental clarity\, emotional balance\, and a steady connection with Spirit. \nWe meet on the second Monday of each month for a focused hour and a half of guided meditation and simple practices. The circle stays quiet\, grounded\, and practical. You do not have to “know how to meditate” to join. You just need a willingness to show up and try. \nEach Mindful Meditation Circle includes brief teaching and plenty of practice. Guided by experienced practitioners\, we work with: \n\nBreathwork and mindfulness to calm the mind and steady the emotions\nVisualization to support intuitive perception and spiritual awareness\nGentle energy awareness so you can notice your own state and reset it\n\nYou stay seated and follow clear\, step by step guidance. There is no pressure to share if you do not want to. You are always free to keep your experience private and simply use the time to rest and reset. \nThis practice pairs well with our Mediumship Development Circle\, because a calm mind and open heart make Spirit communication much clearer. Many students attend both to build a strong inner foundation alongside their technical skills as developing mediums. \nPeople who join our Mindful Meditation Circle often report feeling more centered\, less reactive\, and better able to handle daily stress. A speaker shares a practical spiritual message that you can carry into everyday life. Often\, we talk about natural law\, personal growth\, or how to live your own truth with more awareness and courage. \nThen\, a medium offers messages from Spirit. These are evidential messages intended to show the continuity of life. It is a quiet\, thoughtful start to the day\, focused on spiritual learning and honest discussion. \nWhat We Do In Lyceum\nEach week\, we work with a selected book that supports personal growth and deepens our understanding of Spiritualist principles. We read\, reflect\, and then talk about how the ideas show up in real life. \nFirst\, we begin with a brief check-in and a short reading from the current book.\nNext\, we open the floor for discussion. People share insights\, questions\, and personal experiences.\nFinally\, we look at how the material connects with Spiritualism and with our own daily choices. \nThe tone stays open\, respectful\, and practical. You are free to speak or simply listen. \nHow Lyceum Connects To Spiritualism\nLyceum has long been part of Spiritualist tradition as a place for education and spiritual development. DESCRIPTION:Spirit Message Circles at MSC:  Three mediums. Three circles. Three readings for $20. \nMessage circles Norfolk at Memorial Spiritualist Church give you a focused evening of evidential Spirit communication in a small group setting. Instead of one large crowd\, you sit in three smaller groups and meet with three different mediums in a single night. \nWe begin with a brief welcome\, a short explanation of how message circles work\, and a simple prayer to set the intention. Then we divide the group into three circles in different areas of the church. Each circle sits with one trained medium for a set period of time. When that round ends\, the groups rotate so that by the end of the evening you have sat with all three mediums. \nIn each circle\, the medium blends with Spirit and gives short\, specific messages for people in that group. You stay seated with your circle while the mediums work. You listen\, receive\, and decide for yourself what feels accurate and meaningful. Each person can expect three readings during the evening. \nMany people come to our message circles Norfolk events for comfort\, guidance\, or simple reassurance that life continues after physical death. Others are just curious to see evidential mediumship in a calm and respectful setting.
