Billet Service
Our Billet Message Service at Memorial Spiritualist Church in Norfolk, VA is a traditional Spiritualist way to receive personal, evidential messages from Spirit. Teri Del Aurora, a working Spiritualist medium and president of our church, leads this service.
What Is A Billet Message Service
In a billet service, you write a name, question, or concern on a small piece of paper called a “billet.” Then you fold or seal it in an envelope. The medium does not need to read your words. Instead, they work with the energy of the writer and with the spirit world to deliver a message that fits your situation.
This practice reflects a core Spiritualist belief that life and personality continue after physical death. Through mediumship, we often receive comfort, guidance, and proof of that ongoing life.
How The Service Works
At the start of the Billet Message Service, you receive a small slip of paper or billet. First, you quietly write a name or concern. Then you fold or seal it. After that, the billets are collected and given to the medium.
Teri holds each billet in turn and blends with Spirit. As she works, she gives the message she receives, offering evidence and insight for the person who wrote that billet. The goal is not entertainment. Instead, the goal is to bring through meaningful, helpful information that supports healing and understanding.
Why People Attend
People come to the Billet Message Service for many reasons. Some are grieving and want reassurance that their loved ones are still very much alive in Spirit. Others need guidance around life choices and feel drawn to ask for help from Spirit in this way. In addition, many simply want to experience evidential mediumship in a clear, structured format.
Often, the messages bring comfort, a sense of being seen, and a reminder that we are not alone.
